The Try-It class or One-Time class is a full introduction to throwing on the potter's wheel. Each class starts with a wheel throwing demonstration designed for the beginner....and then everyone gets dirty : ) The instructor walks around and helps each student hands-on....at least once. You can work through as much clay as you want in the 90 minute class and choose one pottery piece to be left with us for glazing & firing for free! At the end of class, everybody cleans up & makes a glaze choice (additional pottery pieces may be chosen for an additional fee). Try-It classes take place every Friday evening 6:30-8 pm and a couple Saturday evenings each month, either 4:30-6 pm or 6:30-8 pm. Try-It classes are for teenagers & adults, but younger people often attend with an adult (10 & over please) but let us know in advance if a young person is attending with an adult. Class size is small and seats fill quickly.......check back often for new class postings.
